- Originally built in 1936 as the "Christian Science Monitor Pavilion". The Aquarium Annex fell into a state of disrepair shortly after the 1936 Texas Centennial and the 1937 Texas Pan American Festival.
- Originally used for the "Christian Science Monitor Pavilion", the building contained 3 rooms: the entrance lounge and exhibit hall, the right wing used for a reading room and the left wing which was reserved for writing letters and serving as a small reception room. In 1998, the building was adopted by the Dallas Aquarium for use with their education programs. The building received a much needed renovation and was reopened in 1999.
