- Built in 1953 as the "Women's Building" and housing craft and quilting exhibits, Grand Place is one of the larger exhibition spaces in Fair Park.
- Grand Place was built on the original site of the Ford Building, which was the largest private exhibition spaces during the Texas Centennial. The building's original purpose was to house crafts exhibits and cooking demonstrations. These exhibits have since been moved across the park to the Creative Arts Building and the Embarcadero. Currently the Grand Place holds exhibits from private companies and citizens. The building is fully air conditioned and was designated a National Historical Landmark in 1986 along with the rest of Fair Park.
