- Built as a replica of Burrus Flour Mill of McKinney, TX in 1936. The building is one of the few structures constructed from materials other than limestone and concrete. Some of the original timbers from the original mill were used in the construction of this structure.
- Originally housing the Flour Milling Industry Exhibit, the Old Mill is a vastly different building than those around it. The Old Mill features a large water wheel on the exterior of the building that actually spins with the force of water. After the Texas Centennial, the structure housed the Borden Dairy Exhibit and featured the famous "Elsie" (The Borden Cow), "Elmur" (Borden's Glue).
- The structure is now known as the Old Mill Inn, and provides a year-round restaurant in Fair Park. The building features have not changed very much since 1936 and now features a large outdoor patio with bar and small pools. The restaurant is open Tuesday-Sunday for Lunch.
